brain exercise

I know there's nothing I can do about the diminishing state of my brain cells, but I decided to start working crosswords to make myself feel smarter. I am really, really bad at them, but I'm determined to conquer! In my quest, I found these highly addictive little games. My gift to you:

quick-cross & up&down words

Enjoy!

Hello, Callie.

Au contraire! There is something you can do about the diminishing state of your brain cells.

When we take on a mental task that requires focus and rewards us, the brain releases acetylcholine and dopamine. Together they stimulate new neural growth and brain plasticity. (Of course it has to be a good deal of focus.)

My company uses a training protocol designed by Susanne Jaeggi and Martin Buschkuehl for their study on Improving Fluid Intelligence by Training Working Memory (PNAS April 2008). I was so impressed by their work that I contacted them and turned the protocol into a commercial software program.

Mind Sparke Brain Fitness Pro

It's never too late to grow new brain cells.
